The problem with diving gear is that when one part breaks the entire product is destined for the landfill. A broken strap… landfill. A cracked frame… landfill. Scratched lenses… landfill. And the worst part is that the rest of the mask is in perfectly good condition. Even if you wanted to you cannot recycle it because all the different parts of the product are different material composition. The glass lens would need to be broken out and each shard of glass removed from the plastic frame. It’s a hassle!

At AGULHAS we make our masks repairable so your mask never ends up in the trash and at worst it is easily recycled. All you need to do is unscrew, disassemble, repair and recycle any damaged parts. Our mask can grow with you. If you want to change the color of your frame, all you need to purchase is a new frame. If you’d like to replace your lenses you can choose from a range of options without purchasing an entirely new mask.

REPAIRABLE: The AGULHAS mask is easy to disassemble. Simply unscrew the 2 screws and replace the part that needs it. Don’t buy a whole new mask and don’t throw a damaged mask away. Now all you have to do is disassemble, repair, and recycle any damaged pieces.

RECYCLABLE: Each individual component of our mask is made from a single material- no overmolded pieces that make recycling impossible. Once you disassemble the parts, each part is recyclable. Simply recycle it. Never throw away another mask again.

MODULAR: All our mask pieces come apart and have replacements if needed. Not only does that mean you can repair the mask, it also means you can mix up colors and lenses to have some fun! Darker lenses for intense sun or a yellow frame that shows up nicely in your underwater photos.

DURABLE: We wanted to use as little plastic as possible. Plastic breaks down in UV light and over time becomes brittle. We decided to upgrade the mask skirt and strap to silicone, which is much more UV resistant and much more comfortable. We hope this is the last mask you ever purchase.

Before first use, NO TOOTHPASTE or BURNING please! Spit into inside of lens while dry, rinse and use. If slight fogging occurs due to water temperature, just spit again. The mask is treated with an antifog, please don’t rub or wash vigorously.

Rinse in fresh water after use. Avoid contact with solvents, detergents, alcohol and oils. Avoid sharp objects near the mask, as this can scratch the lens or puncture the silicone parts.
