Positive Impact

The problem with current diving gear is that when one part breaks the entire product is destined for the landfill. A broken strap… landfill. A cracked frame… landfill. Scratched lenses… landfill. And the worst part is that the rest of the mask is in perfectly good condition. Even if you wanted to, you cannot recycle it because all the different parts of the product are different material compositions.

Our mask is different. Our mask is repairable, recyclable, modular, and durable.

REPAIRABLE: Easy to disassemble. Simply unscrew 2 screws in the frame and repair/replace any part. Don’t buy a entirely new mask when only one part is broken.

RECYCLABLE: Each individual component of our mask is made from a single material. Once you disassemble the parts, each part is recyclable. No more masks in the landfill.

MODULAR: All our mask components are replaceable. Repair it, change out frames, switch up lenses, have fun with it!

DURABLE: Our sturdy silicone mask skirt and strap is much more UV resistant and comfortable than other plastics, not to mention it's not plastic. We hope this is the last mask you ever purchase.

Care Guide

NO TOOTHPASTE OR LIGHTERS NEEDED.
The mask is treated with the same antifog coating used in competitive swim goggles. Spit onto the inside of lens while dry, rinse and use. If any fogging occurs place a small amount of dish soap on the lense and rub gently with your fingers and rinse. That's it.

Rinse in fresh water after each use. Avoid contact with solvents, detergents, alcohol and oils. Avoid sharp objects near the mask. Keep the product away from heat sources and direct exposure to sun

The Mokarran Mask, named after the great hammerhead shark (Sphyrna mokarran), mirrors its namesake’s exceptional 360-degree vision. By removing the traditional centerpiece, the AGULHAS design features a curved, single lens that contours to the face for an expanded field of view underwater. This low-volume, freediving-inspired mask is built for all types of ocean exploration and comes in a durable, water-tight AGULHAS mask box. All components are modular and fully replaceable.

But will it fit me!?

We hear you! Buying a new mask online may seem risky, but with our 30 day free return policy we want to make sure you get to try the Mokarran Mask for yourself. Every face is unique, and deserves a perfect fit.

How does the curved lens work underwater?

If you have been using a mask with flat glass lenses for years, having full peripheral vision underwater might take some getting used to. Most people love having an unrestricted view underwater. Try it!

Best free-diving mask I ever had

I absolutely love love love my new freediving mask! The design is great and the material is incredibly soft and super comfortable to wear. It even fits my relatively small face perfectly, which is often hard to find in dive gear. But what really sets it apart is the panoramic view it offers. The field of vision is amazingly wide and makes exploring the underwater world feel completely immersive.

Freediving styling

The Japanese have two conditions for design, beauty and functionality. This mask has both in spaded....its both beautiful and works very well. It is also a business with people behind it that I want to wrap my arms around 0 that matters to me - AND it is a wonderful gift (perosnalised seamless shopping experience with a personal touch).

The Mask that Unmasks

This is not a piece of kit it’s an instrument! I have never felt more at peace and connected to the water than wearing this ergonomically, thoughtfully made and delightfully comfortable mask. Been using the mask in freshwater and saltwater and it has opened up a whole new sense of watery-kinship. Essential wear really
